Boil 1 cup of water in a pot. Once boiling, add 1 cup of raw walnuts and blanch briefly.

Drain the walnuts and rinse them under cold water. Pat dry with a kitchen towel.

Prepare 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar. Add them to a pot and bring to a boil.

Add the blanched walnuts to the boiling syrup. Simmer gently until the syrup is fully absorbed.

Drain the walnuts using a sieve to remove excess syrup.

Heat 2 tbsp of cooking oil in a frying pan. Add the syrup-coated walnuts and stir-fry until crispy.
