Main Ingredients
- 2 packs of firm tofu
- 2 bundles of enoki mushrooms
- 🧅 2 stalks of green onion
- 10 perilla leaves
- 2–3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 🧂 Salt for seasoning tofu
Sauce Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 🧅 3 tbsp minced green onion
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp crushed sesame seeds
步驟
Prepare the sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients together and let it sit to enhance flavor.
Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces, place on paper towels, sprinkle with salt, and let it drain.
Trim the base of enoki mushrooms and slice perilla leaves thinly. Prepare green onions by slicing them into thin strips.
Pan-fry the tofu in vegetable oil over medium heat for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Layer green onion strips at the bottom of a pan, followed by the fried tofu, more green onion strips, and enoki mushrooms on top.
Pour the prepared sauce over the layered ingredients and simmer on low heat for 5–6 minutes, occasionally spooning sauce over the top.
Once cooked, top with sliced perilla leaves and drizzle with a bit of sauce to wilt the leaves.
Serve the braised tofu and mushrooms over steamed rice for a complete meal.
