MALZEMELER
Dry Ingredients
- 375g cake flour
- 3g baking powder
- 🧂 3g salt
Wet Ingredients
- 🥚 12 egg yolks
- 🥚 12 egg whites
- 186ml canola oil
- 🥛 75ml milk or water
- 5 drops vanilla essence
- 36ml corn syrup
Sugar
- 🍬 210g sugar for yolks
- 🍬 210g sugar for whites
ADIMLAR
Separate egg yolks and whites. Prepare sugar into two portions: A for yolks and B for whites.
Mix cake flour, baking powder, and salt together and sift.
Whisk egg yolks with sugar A, corn syrup, vanilla essence, and salt until pale yellow.
Prepare meringue by whisking egg whites. Gradually add sugar B in three portions while whisking.
Combine 1/3 of meringue with yolk mixture. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix gently.
Add milk or water and mix lightly. Then add canola oil in portions, mixing gently.
Fold in remaining meringue in two portions, mixing gently to preserve airiness.
Pour batter into a greased or lined pan, filling 70%. Tap the pan lightly to remove air bubbles.
Bake at 170°C for 20 minutes, then reduce to 140°C for 40 minutes.
Cool the cake by separating it from the pan and letting it rest to release moisture.
