Slice the cabbage into 3cm thick pieces, similar to steak thickness. Secure the cabbage slices with toothpicks to prevent them from falling apart during cooking.

Heat 2 tbsp of butter in a pan. Add the secured cabbage slices and season with salt and pepper. Cook on low heat with the lid on to ensure the cabbage cooks evenly.

Flip the cabbage slices once the bottom is cooked. Season the other side with salt and pepper. Add mozzarella cheese on top and cook on low heat with the lid on until the cheese melts.

Serve the cabbage steak with a generous amount of melted mozzarella cheese. Pair it with whole-grain mustard for added flavor.
