    • 3 tbsp chili powder
    • 2 tbsp gochujang
    • 7 tbsp soy sauce
    • 3 tbsp mirin
    • 2 tbsp ketchup
    • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
    • 4 tbsp corn syrup
    • 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
    • A pinch of black pepper
    • 💧 1.5 cups water

Wash the chicken drumsticks thoroughly. Blanch them in boiling water for 30–40 seconds, then rinse under cold water to remove excess fat and odor.

Prepare the sauce in a frying pan by mixing chopped onion, chili powder, gochujang, soy sauce, mirin, ketchup, oyster sauce, sugar, corn syrup, minced garlic, black pepper, and water. Stir well.

Place the chicken drumsticks in the pan with the sauce. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, occasionally basting the drumsticks with the sauce and flipping them.

Lower the heat to low and continue basting and flipping the drumsticks for another 10 minutes. Cover the pan during this process.

Serve the braised chicken drumsticks warm. They are flavorful and tender, and can also be enjoyed cold as a snack or packed for lunch.
