- 160g shishito peppers
- 🧂 1/4 tsp fine salt
- 🌾 3 tbsp flour
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧅 1/2 tbsp minced green onion
- 🧄 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp coarse red pepper flakes
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 🌰 1 tsp sesame seeds
手順
Wash the shishito peppers thoroughly and mix with fine salt. Let them sit for 20 minutes to lightly cure, then shake off excess moisture.
Add flour to the peppers and gently coat them.
Steam the peppers in a preheated steamer for 5 minutes.
Prepare the seasoning sauce by mixing soy sauce, minced green onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, sugar, mirin, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
Let the steamed peppers cool slightly, then gently mix them with the prepared seasoning sauce.
Finish by sprinkling sesame seeds on top and serve.
