- 1 shiitake mushroom

- 🥕 1/4 carrot
- 1/2 green onion
- 🥚 1 egg
- 6 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 3.5 tbsp cornstarch
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
Sauce Ingredients
- 🧅 1/4 onion
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 4 tbsp steak sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- A pinch of pepper
PASOS
Mash the tofu using a cloth to remove excess water.
Finely chop the onion, carrot, and shiitake mushroom.
In a bowl, mix the mashed tofu, chopped vegetables, egg, cornstarch, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper to form a dough.
Shape the mixture into steak-sized patties.
Heat a pan with oil and cook the patties on medium-low heat until golden brown on both sides.
For the sauce, sauté minced garlic and sliced onion in a pan with a bit of oil.
Add the sauce ingredients and simmer until slightly thickened.
Pour the sauce over the tofu steaks and serve.
