    • 🥔 1/2 potato
    • 1 bowl shredded cabbage
    • 1/2 green onion
    • 🧄 3 cloves garlic
    • 💧 50ml water
  • Seasoning Sauce

    • 3 tbsp gochujang
    • 🧂 3 tbsp sugar
    • 3 tbsp chili powder
    • 3 tbsp mirin
    • 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 🧄 3 tbsp minced garlic
  • Additional Seasoning

    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • a pinch of black pepper

Prepare chicken and vegetables. Use any vegetables available in your fridge, such as sweet potatoes or rice cakes for added flavor.

Mix gochujang, chili powder, sugar, mirin, soy sauce, and minced garlic to create the seasoning sauce. Let it rest for 3 hours if possible.

Marinate the chicken with the seasoning sauce. Add chopped vegetables, sesame oil, and black pepper, then mix well.

Cook the mixture in a pan without oil. Spread evenly and cook on low heat. Add 50ml water when it starts to stick, then stir and continue cooking.

Cover the pan to cook the chicken thoroughly. Add rice cakes if desired and simmer until the sauce thickens.

Serve the Dak Galbi with perilla leaves for added aroma and enjoy as a main dish or a side for drinks.
