    • 🦑 1 medium squid (250g)
    • 🧅 1/2 medium onion, sliced
    • 🌱 1/2 stalk green onion, sliced
    • 1 green chili pepper, sliced
    • 🥕 50g carrot, julienned
    • 3 tbsp cooking oil
    • 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
    • 1/3 tbsp chili powder
  • Sauce Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp chili powder
    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp mirin
    • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 4 tbsp corn syrup
    • 1/3 tbsp dashida seasoning
    • 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
    • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
    • 2 pinches black pepper

步骤

Prepare the sauce by mixing all sauce ingredients and let it rest for 4-12 hours in an airtight container.

Score the squid with diamond cuts or leave it as is. Peel the skin if desired.

Slice the carrot, onion, green onion, and chili pepper into thin strips.

Heat 3 tbsp of cooking oil in a pan over low heat. Add minced garlic and fry until golden.

Add 1/3 tbsp of chili powder to the garlic oil and stir-fry for 1 minute on low heat.

Increase the heat to high and add sliced onions. Stir-fry until they turn translucent.

Pour in the prepared sauce and stir-fry for 30-40 seconds to combine.

Add the squid and stir-fry on high heat for 1 minute.

Add green onion and chili pepper, and stir-fry for another 2 minutes.

Continue stir-frying on high heat until the dish thickens and no excess liquid remains.
