    • 1 bag shishito peppers
    • 🧂 1/2 tbsp salt
    • 🍶 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 🍬 3 tbsp sugar
    • 🍶 2 tbsp mirin
    • 2-3 tbsp chili powder
    • 1 tbsp cooking oil
    • 💧 1/3 cup water

Poke small holes in the shishito peppers using a fork to allow the seasoning to penetrate.

Heat a pan and add 1 tbsp of cooking oil. Stir-fry the shishito peppers with 1/2 tbsp of salt until they soften slightly.

Once the peppers are slightly softened, add soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and water to the pan. Let it simmer.

Add chili powder and continue stir-frying until the peppers are fully cooked and tender.

If the pan becomes too dry, add a bit more water to prevent burning.

Optionally, drizzle a small amount of sesame oil at the end for added flavor. Adjust the seasoning with more soy sauce or sugar if needed.
