    • 🐟 2 fillets mackerel (160g)
  • Spices

    • 1/2 piece ginger, sliced

    • 2 tbsp miso
    • 3 tbsp sake
    • 2 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 💧 200 ml water

Make shallow cross cuts on the skin side of the mackerel fillets.

Slice the ginger thinly.

Add the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, water) and ginger to the pressure cooker and bring to a boil.

Place the mackerel skin-side up into the pressure cooker. Close the lid and heat on high until pressure is reached, then reduce to low and cook for 6 minutes.

Turn off the heat and allow the pressure to release naturally. Once released, dissolve the miso into the sauce and simmer on low heat until the sauce reduces by half.

Serve the mackerel on a plate and drizzle the reduced sauce over it.
