Dough
- 🥛 ½ cup milk
 - ¼ cup margarine
 - 🧂 ½ teaspoon salt
 - ⅛ cup warm water (110 degrees F)
 - 🧂 ½ teaspoon white sugar
 - 1 (.25 ounce) envelope active dry yeast
 - 🥚 1 egg
 - 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
 
Filling
- 2 tablespoons margarine, softened
 - 🧂 ¼ cup white sugar
 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
 
Caramel topping
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
 - 3 tablespoons margarine
 - 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
 - 1 ½ tablespoons water
 - ½ cup pecan halves

Heat milk in a small saucepan until a skin forms; remove from heat. Add margarine and salt, stirring to combine. Cool until lukewarm.
Mix warm water with sugar; sprinkle yeast over top. Let stand until foamy, 5 to 10 minutes.
Beat milk mixture and yeast mixture together; add egg and flour gradually until dough forms. Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
Place dough in an oiled bowl; cover and let rise until doubled, about 90 minutes.
Prepare caramel by mixing brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup, and water. Spread on bottom of a baking dish and arrange pecans on top.
Roll out dough into a 9x12-inch rectangle; spread margarine over surface and sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture. Roll dough into a log and cut into 1-inch rounds.
Place rolls in prepared dish and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake rolls until golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
Invert dish while warm to release rolls with caramel topping facing up.
