- 🥚 1 room temperature egg
- 🧈 100g unsalted butter at room temperature
- 250g cake flour
- 🧂 86g sugar
- 2g baking powder
- 🧂 1g salt
- 1 drop food coloring
步骤
Place butter in a paper cup and microwave for 30 seconds.
Mix the melted butter thoroughly.
Add melted butter to a bowl and stir well.
Gradually add sugar in two portions, stirring until fully dissolved.
Beat the egg to create egg wash and mix it into the dough until combined.
Add all dry ingredients except sugar to the mixture.
Mix the dough thoroughly to form a single lump.
Divide the dough into two equal portions.
Place one portion in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Divide the other portion into three equal parts and place in separate bowls.
Add food coloring to each portion and mix well.
Place the colored dough portions in plastic bags and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll out the refrigerated dough with a rolling pin on a slightly wet cutting board.
Cut the rolled dough into squares.
Roll out the colored dough and layer it on top of the plain dough.
Roll the layered dough with a rolling pin.
Trim excess dough from the edges.
Place parchment paper on top of the dough.
Flip the dough and tap the cutting board to release it.
Place parchment paper on the flipped dough and flip again.
Remove the parchment paper and let the dough rest.
Roll the dough slowly and carefully.
Cut the rolled dough carefully to preserve the design.
Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake for 13 minutes.
If not fully baked, extend baking time by 3–5 minutes.
