Main Ingredients
- 🧈 340g tofu
- 🧅 1 onion
- 2-4 green chilies
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 🧅 1/2 stalk scallion
Seasonings
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp syrup
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper
- 180ml water
- Adequate amount of cooking oil
步骤
Slice the tofu into 1cm thick pieces and use firm tofu for better results.
Pan-fry the tofu on medium heat with adequate cooking oil until both sides are golden brown and firm.
Slice the onion and layer it on the pan, then place the fried tofu on top.
Sprinkle red pepper flakes and minced garlic evenly over the tofu.
Add soy sauce, corn syrup, and water to the pan.
Add chopped scallion and cook on high heat for 3 minutes with the lid on.
Add green chilies, syrup, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir gently.
Simmer on medium heat until the sauce thickens and onions are tender.
Serve with freshly cooked rice for a complete meal.
