Vegetables
- 70 perilla leaves
- 🧅 1/4 onion, chopped
- 2 chili peppers, chopped
- 🥕 1/4 carrot, chopped
Seasonings
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp plum extract
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
BƯỚC
Wash the perilla leaves thoroughly and shake off excess water.
Chop 1/4 onion, 2 chili peppers, and 1/4 carrot finely.
Mix the chopped vegetables with 6 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp chili powder, 2 tbsp plum extract, and 1 tbsp minced garlic.
Add 1 tbsp sesame seeds to the seasoning mixture and stir well.
Layer 2-3 perilla leaves at a time and spread the seasoning mixture over them.
Repeat the layering and seasoning process until all leaves are stacked.
Cover with plastic wrap, poke air holes, and microwave for about 2 minutes.
Serve the steamed perilla leaves as a simple and flavorful side dish.
