    • 1/2 block tofu
    • 1/4 green onion
    • 🧂 3 pinches salt
  • Seasonings

    • 🧄 1/3 tbsp minced garlic
    • 2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp chili powder
    • 1/3 tbsp corn syrup
    • a dash of sesame oil
    • a dash of sesame seeds
    • a dash of black pepper
    • 1/3 cup water
    • a dash of cooking oil

Cut 1/2 block of tofu into bite-sized pieces and pat dry using a kitchen towel. Sprinkle lightly with salt to help remove moisture faster.

Prepare the sauce by mixing 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1/3 tbsp sesame oil, 1/3 tbsp corn syrup, 1 tbsp chili powder, a dash of black pepper, a dash of sesame seeds, 1/3 cup water, and 1/3 tbsp minced garlic. Add chopped green onion.

Heat a pan with a dash of cooking oil and fry the tofu pieces until golden brown on both sides.

Place the fried tofu in a pot, pour the prepared sauce over it, and layer more tofu on top. Cover and simmer until the sauce reduces to 1-2 tbsp.

While simmering, occasionally spoon the sauce over the tofu to ensure even seasoning and a glossy finish.
