    • 1 block tofu
    • 🧅 1/2 onion
    • 1/2 cup green onion
  • Sauce Ingredients

    • 2/3 tbsp fermented shrimp
    • 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp chili powder
    • 🧂 1/2 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tbsp corn syrup
    • 2 tbsp cooking wine
    • 🧄 1/3 tbsp minced garlic
    • 100 ml water

Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces.

Place the tofu on a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture. Optionally, season with salt and pepper.

Heat a generous amount of oil in a pan and pan-fry the tofu on low heat until golden and crispy.

While the tofu is frying, prepare the sauce by mixing fermented shrimp, soy sauce, chili powder, sugar, corn syrup, cooking wine, minced garlic, and water.

Transfer the fried tofu to a pot and layer onion and green onion on top.

Add 100 ml of water to the pot and simmer on medium-low heat.

Pour the prepared sauce over the tofu and vegetables.

Continue simmering on medium-low heat until the sauce thickens and the tofu is fully infused with flavor.
