  • Main Ingredients

    • 1 pack soft tofu
    • 🧅 1/2 onion, chopped
    • 🧅 1/2 green onion, chopped
    • 🦪 20 clams
  • Seasonings

    • 3 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tbsp cooking oil
    • 🧄 1 tsp minced garlic
    • 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 🧂 1/2 to 1 tsp salt
    • 2 tbsp fine red chili powder
  • Additional

    • 💧 2 cups water (400ml)
    • Optional chives for garnish

Chop 1/2 onion and 1/2 green onion finely.

Heat 3 tbsp sesame oil and 1 tbsp cooking oil in a wok. Sauté the chopped green onion and onion until fragrant.

Add 2 tbsp fine red chili powder and stir-fry to create chili oil. If it feels too dry, add 1 more tbsp of cooking oil.

Pour in 2 cups (400ml) of water and bring to a boil.

Add 20 clams and let them cook until they open.

Cut 1 pack of soft tofu into chunks and add to the pot. Bring it back to a boil.

Season with 1/2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tsp salt. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Serve in a clay pot and garnish with optional chives if available.
