Tuna Hamburg Steak with Sauce

  • Cooking Oil

    • 3 tbsp canola oil
    • 🧈 1 tbsp butter
  • Patty Mixture

    • 🥚 2 eggs
    • 150g canned tuna
    • 🧅 1/2 onion, finely chopped
    • 1/3 stalk green onion, finely chopped
    • 2 chili peppers, finely chopped
    • 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
    • 2 tbsp flour
  • Sauce

    • 🍅 2 tbsp ketchup
    • 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 150ml water

Drain the oil from the canned tuna and clean the empty can for later use.

Finely chop the onion, green onion, and chili peppers.

Combine drained tuna, chopped vegetables, eggs, minced garlic, and flour in a bowl.

Fill the cleaned tuna can with the patty mixture, pressing firmly to shape.

Heat 3 tbsp of canola oil in a pan and carefully release the patty from the can onto the pan.

Cook the patties until golden brown on both sides, flipping gently.

Prepare the sauce by mixing ketchup, sugar, soy sauce, and water in a bowl.

Pour the sauce into the pan with the patties and simmer until thickened.

Fry an egg sunny-side-up and serve it on top of the patties.

Plate the tuna hamburg steak with sauce and garnish with salad or pickles.
