Spicy Stir-fried Squid

    • 🦑 2 whole squids
    • 🧅 1 onion, sliced
    • 🥒 1/3 zucchini, sliced
    • 🥕 A small amount of carrot, sliced
    • 🍄 2 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
    • 1 handful of rice cakes
    • 1 green chili, sliced
    • 🧄 1 stalk of green onion, chopped
    • 💧 100ml water
  • Seasonings

    • 1 tbsp gochujang
    • 3 tbsp chili powder
    • 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp cooking wine
    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tbsp plum extract
    • 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
    • A dash of black pepper
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tbsp oligosaccharide
    • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Prepare the vegetables: slice onion, carrot, zucchini, and mushrooms. Chop green onion and green chili.

Score the squid using a knife or a specialized tool, then marinate it in the prepared sauce.

Mix all seasoning ingredients to create the sauce.

Heat oil in a pan and sauté the green onion to create aromatic oil.

Add the onion and stir-fry until translucent.

Add the remaining vegetables and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.

Add the marinated squid and stir-fry until it starts to curl.

Pour in 100ml water and simmer for a few minutes.

Add rice cakes and cook until they soften and absorb the sauce.

Finish with sesame oil, oligosaccharide, and sesame seeds. Stir well and serve.
