Deflate the dough by mixing lightly with a spatula. Shape it into a round loaf, dusting with flour as needed.

Place the shaped dough on a baking tray, dust with whole wheat flour using a sieve, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 1 hour.

Score the dough with a knife in a cross or diagonal pattern. Bake in a preheated oven at 230°C (450°F) for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, jam, or use as sandwich bread.
