    • 2 leaves shiso

Cut the hanpen into bite-sized pieces. Slice the shiso leaves thinly. Make a cut in the cod roe and extract the contents.

In a microwave-safe container, mix Japanese dashi powder with water and heat at 600W for about 30 seconds to dissolve.

In a bowl, combine the cod roe and mayonnaise. Gradually add the heated dashi mixture while stirring.

Heat a frying pan and cook the hanpen on medium heat until both sides are golden brown. Plate the hanpen, pour the cod roe sauce over it, and garnish with shiso leaves.
