Simmered Pork and Daikon Radish

INGREDIENTS

  • Meat

    • 150g sliced pork
  • Vegetables

    • 180g daikon radish, 6cm piece
    • đź§… Chopped green onion, a small amount
  • Cooking Oil

    • 1 tsp salad oil
  • Seasoning

    • 2 tbsp concentrated noodle soup base
    • đź’§ 200cc water
  • Thickener

    • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
    • đź’§ 1 tbsp water

Cut the daikon radish into 2cm thick slices, peel the skin thickly, and quarter each slice. Place them on a microwave-safe plate, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 5 minutes. Drain the water.

Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the pork and stir-fry until the meat changes color. Add the daikon radish and stir-fry until coated with oil.

Add noodle soup base and water to the pan. Bring to a boil, cover with a lid, and simmer over low heat for about 7 minutes.

Add the cornstarch slurry to the pan and stir until the mixture thickens.

Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
