INGREDIENTS
Topping
- Appropriate amount of white shredded leek
Char Siu
- 300g pork slices
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- đź§‚ 1/4 tsp salt
- a pinch of pepper
- 1.5 tbsp cornstarch
Sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- đź§„ 1/3 tsp grated garlic
- đź’§ 120 ml water
STEPS
Mix pork slices with sugar, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add cornstarch and mix thoroughly.
Place half of the pork on aluminum foil, layer the remaining pork on top, and wrap tightly.
Bake the wrapped pork in a toaster oven for 15 minutes, then rotate and bake for another 15 minutes.
In a frying pan, combine all sauce ingredients and simmer over low to medium heat for about 8 minutes.
Cover the pan and let the pork cool slightly. Slice into bite-sized pieces before serving.
