ZUTATEN
Flour
- 🌾 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 🌾 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
Liquid
- 💧 1.5 cups lukewarm water
Seasoning
- 2 tsp instant dry yeast
- 🧂 1 tsp salt
SCHRITTE
Mix all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour in a bowl. Add yeast and salt, then mix roughly with a spatula.
Make a well in the center and pour 1 cup and 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Mix roughly with a spatula until no dry flour remains.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rise at room temperature for 2 hours until doubled in size.
Deflate the dough by mixing lightly with a spatula. Shape it into a round loaf, dusting with flour as needed.
Place the shaped dough on a baking tray, dust with whole wheat flour using a sieve, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 1 hour.
Score the dough with a knife in a cross or diagonal pattern. Bake in a preheated oven at 230°C (450°F) for 30 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, jam, or use as sandwich bread.
