INGREDIENTS
Main Ingredient
- 1 can (190g) mackerel in water
- 400cc water
- đź§… 1/2 stalk green onion, sliced
Tsukune Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp potato starch
Soup Seasoning
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- đź§‚ 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
STEPS
Slice the green onion diagonally into thin pieces.
Drain the mackerel can and place the fish into a plastic bag. Mash lightly by hand, then add the tsukune seasoning ingredients and knead until well combined.
Heat water in a pot until boiling. Scoop the mackerel mixture into bite-sized portions using a spoon and add to the pot. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
Add the sliced green onion to the pot and simmer for 1–2 minutes. Then add the soup seasoning and simmer for an additional minute.
