    • 🦑 1300g jumbo squid, sliced
  • Vegetables

    • 🥬 3 handfuls of chopped cabbage
    • 🧅 1 onion, sliced
    • 🥕 1/2 carrot, sliced
    • 🧅 6 stalks of green onion, chopped
  • Seasoning

    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • A sprinkle of sesame seeds
    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 🧄 2 tbsp minced garlic
    • 2 tbsp Korean chili paste
    • 6 tbsp chili powder
    • 10 tbsp soy sauce
    • 💧 1/2 to 1 cup water

Slice the jumbo squid into bite-sized pieces and blanch in boiling water with a pinch of salt for 2 minutes.

Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil or cooking oil in a pan and stir-fry the chopped green onion to create green onion oil.

Add the blanched squid to the pan and stir-fry with 1 tbsp sugar.

Mix in minced garlic, gochujang, chili powder, and soy sauce. Adjust the amount of sauce as needed.

Pour 1/2 cup of water into the pan and stir until the sauce thickens. Add more water if the dish tastes too salty.

Add cabbage, onion, carrot, and green onion to the pan and stir-fry until the vegetables soften.

Turn off the heat and drizzle 1 tbsp sesame oil over the stir-fry. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Serve the stir-fried squid over freshly cooked rice and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
