Spicy Korean Tofu Stir-fry

INGREDIENTES

  • Tofu

    • 🥡 550g tofu, cubed
  • Vegetables

    • 🧅 1/2 onion, finely chopped
    • 🧅 2 tbsp chopped green onion
    • 🧄 1/3 tbsp minced garlic
  • Seasonings

    • 🍅 2 tbsp ketchup
    • 1 tbsp gochujang
    • 1 tbsp chili powder
    • 🧂 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 🍶 2 tbsp mirin
    • 2.5 tbsp corn syrup
    • 🧂 Pinch of pepper
  • Cooking Oil

    • Sufficient vegetable oil for frying

Cut tofu into 2cm cubes and pat dry with paper towels.

Sprinkle a small amount of fine salt on tofu for seasoning.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over low heat and fry tofu until golden brown on all sides. Drain excess oil on paper towels.

Finely chop half an onion.

In a pan, sauté chopped onion, green onion, and garlic with 1 tbsp vegetable oil over medium heat for 1 minute.

Add ketchup, chili powder, gochujang, soy sauce, mirin, corn syrup, pepper, and 5 tbsp water. Simmer until the sauce thickens.

Add fried tofu to the sauce and gently toss to coat evenly.

Sprinkle sesame seeds or crushed peanuts on top before serving.
