Stuffing
- 🍚 1/2 cup glutinous rice
- 🧄 4 cloves garlic
- 4 jujubes
- 4 chestnuts
- 1 piece ginseng
Broth
- 1 samgyetang ingredient pack
- 🧅 1/2 onion
- 2 green onions
- 1 piece ginseng
- 1 piece ginger
- 8 jujubes
- 🧄 10 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp black peppercorns
- 1 cup soju
Seasoning
- 🧂 Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
PASSOS
Prepare nurungji by pressing cooked rice in a pan until crispy.
Clean and prepare the chicken by removing the tail, excess fat, and washing thoroughly.
Clean the abalones by scrubbing with a brush and removing the innards and teeth.
Stuff the chicken with soaked glutinous rice, garlic, jujubes, chestnuts, and ginseng.
Tie the chicken legs together to secure the stuffing.
In a large pot, add water, onion, green onions, ginseng, ginger, jujubes, garlic, and the samgyetang ingredient pack.
Add the chicken, black peppercorns, and soju to the pot.
Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Remove the ingredient pack, onion, and green onions from the broth.
Add the nurungji and abalones to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
