INGREDIENTES
Potato Soup
- 🥔 3 medium potatoes
- 🧅 1 onion
- 🥛 400ml milk
- 🧈 2 tbsp butter
- 🧂 a pinch of salt
- a pinch of pepper
- adequate amount of water
Croutons
- 🍞 small amount of baguette bread
- 🧈 1 tbsp butter
PASSOS
Peel and chop the potatoes into small pieces for faster cooking.
Boil the potatoes in a pot with enough water to cover them for 10 minutes on high heat.
While boiling the potatoes, sauté diced butter and sliced onion in a frying pan until the onion softens.
Let the sautéed onion and boiled potatoes cool slightly.
Blend the boiled potatoes, sautéed onion, and milk in a blender until smooth.
Pour the blended mixture into a pot and cook on medium-low heat, stirring until thickened.
Season with salt and pepper, and adjust the consistency with additional milk if desired.
For croutons, dice baguette bread into small cubes and sauté with butter in a frying pan until golden brown.
Serve the potato soup in a bowl, top with croutons, and sprinkle with pepper.
