    • 🥬 1 bunch spinach
  • Seasonings

    • 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
    • 1 tbsp ground sesame seeds
    • 🧅 1 tbsp minced green onion
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1/2 tbsp doenjang (fermented soybean paste)
    • 1/2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)

Trim spinach by removing the roots and yellow leaves. Cut long spinach stems in half if needed.

Wash the spinach thoroughly in cold water 2–3 times.

Boil water in a pot with 1 tbsp coarse salt. Once boiling, add spinach and stir briefly. Remove immediately after 10 seconds.

Rinse blanched spinach in cold water and drain using a colander.

Squeeze excess water from the spinach and place it in a bowl. Loosen the spinach clumps with your hands.

Mix spinach with minced garlic, ground sesame seeds, sesame oil, soy sauce, minced green onion, doenjang, and gochujang. Toss thoroughly.
