  • Oil

    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1/2 tbsp cooking oil
  • Seasoning

    • 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
    • 🧅 1 stalk green onion
    • 2 tbsp red pepper powder
    • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • Protein

    • 🥩 300g beef
  • Vegetables

    • 400g bean sprouts
  • Liquid

    • 💧 8 cups water

Heat a pot and add 1 tbsp sesame oil and 1/2 tbsp cooking oil. Add 1 tbsp minced garlic and the white part of 1 stalk green onion, sliced, and sauté.

Add 2 tbsp red pepper powder and stir quickly to avoid burning.

Rinse 300g beef under running water, pat dry, and add to the pot. Sauté until almost cooked.

Add 4 tbsp soy sauce and stir to season the beef.

Pour in 8 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce to medium-low heat and simmer to extract flavors.

Add 400g bean sprouts and cook until tender.

Slice the green part of the green onion diagonally and add to the soup. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
