- 20 perilla leaves
- 🧅 1/2 onion
- 🥕 1/2 cup chopped carrot
- 🐟 2 cans tuna
- 2/3 block tofu
- 🧂 2 pinches salt
- 2 dashes pepper
- 1 cup flour
- 🥚 3 eggs
- Generous amount of cooking oil
Soy Sauce Dip
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 tbsp vinegar
- 0.5 tbsp sugar
- 0.5 tbsp chili powder
- 🧅 1/4 onion
ÉTAPES
Wash the perilla leaves thoroughly and remove excess water.
Chop the onion and carrot into small pieces.
Mash the tofu and mix it with the chopped onion and carrot.
Drain the oil from the tuna cans and mix the tuna with the tofu mixture. Add salt and pepper.
Shape the mixture into small portions and wrap them inside the perilla leaves.
Coat the wrapped perilla leaves with flour on both sides.
Dip the flour-coated wraps into beaten eggs.
Pan-fry the wraps in cooking oil until golden brown.
Prepare the soy sauce dip by mixing soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, chili powder, and chopped onion.
Serve the perilla leaf pancakes with the soy sauce dip.
