INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 1 kg tofu
- 🧅 1/2 onion, chopped
- 🧅 1/2 green onion, sliced
Seasonings
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 tbsp sunflower oil
- 1 cup water
ÉTAPES
Cut tofu into thick pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
Add sunflower oil to a cold pan, place tofu, and heat on medium flame.
Pan-fry tofu until golden brown on both sides.
Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, chili powder, sugar, corn syrup, minced garlic, cooking wine, and sesame oil.
Chop onion finely and slice green onion; mix them into the sauce.
Layer half of the fried tofu in a pot, pour half of the sauce, then layer the remaining tofu and sauce.
Add 1 cup of water to the sauce bowl to rinse out remaining sauce and pour it around the edges of the pot.
Simmer on medium-low heat for 5-8 minutes, occasionally spooning sauce over the tofu.
Cook until onions are tender and tofu is well-coated with sauce.
