INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- 🧅 1 small onion
- 15cm white part of green onion
- 1 green chili
- 1 red chili
- 1.5 tbsp perilla oil
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
Seasoning Sauce
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 1.5 tbsp chili powder
- 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp ginger syrup
- 200ml anchovy stock or water
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
ÉTAPES
Slice tofu into 1.5-2cm thick pieces, sprinkle with 1/2 tsp salt, and let sit for 10 minutes. Pat dry with a paper towel.
Prepare the seasoning sauce by mixing gochujang, chili powder, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, ginger syrup, sesame oil, and anchovy stock or water.
Slice onion into thin strips and cut green chili, red chili, and green onion into diagonal slices.
Heat a pan with 1.5 tbsp perilla oil and pan-fry tofu on both sides until golden and firm, about 5 minutes on medium-high heat.
Layer onion and tofu in the pan.
Pour the seasoning sauce evenly over the tofu and onion.
Bring to a boil over high heat, then cover and simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes.
Uncover and simmer until the sauce reduces, occasionally spooning the sauce over the tofu. Add green onion and chilies and cook for 1 more minute.
