INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🍢 1/2 block tofu
- 🌱 2 tbsp chopped green onion
- 🥕 2 tbsp chopped carrot
- 🧄 1 tsp minced garlic
Seasoning
- 🧂 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- 1 tbsp plum syrup
ÉTAPES
Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces. Half a block yields about 8 pieces.
Slice the green onion and chop the carrot into small pieces.
Heat a frying pan with cooking oil and fry the tofu pieces until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes on low heat.
While the tofu is frying, prepare the sauce by mixing chopped green onion, carrot, minced garlic, chili powder, plum syrup, sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl.
Once the tofu is golden brown, spoon the sauce over the tofu pieces.
Flip the tofu pieces and simmer for less than 1 minute on low heat to allow the sauce to reduce slightly.
Serve the braised tofu immediately.
