Quail Egg and Konjac Soy Sauce Braised Dish

    • 🥚 40 quail eggs
    • 150g konjac
    • 🧄 1/2 handful garlic cloves
    • 2-3 green chilies
    • 5g kombu (optional)
    • 🧂 1 tbsp salt
    • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • Seasoning

    • 💧 350ml water
    • 1/2 cup soy sauce
    • 🍬 3 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp sesame seeds
    • 1 tsp sesame oil

ÉTAPES

Prepare all ingredients by slicing chilies and halving garlic cloves.

Boil quail eggs in a pot with enough water to cover them.

Add 1 tbsp salt and boil for 5 minutes after water starts boiling.

Cool boiled quail eggs in cold water and peel them.

Cut konjac into desired sizes and boil with 1 tbsp vinegar and 1 cup water for 1 minute.

In a pot, combine soy sauce, sugar, and 350ml water.

Add kombu and garlic slices to the pot and bring to a boil.

Add konjac and quail eggs to the pot and simmer for 3 minutes on medium heat.

Remove kombu and continue simmering until the sauce reduces by half.

Add sliced chilies and simmer for another 2 minutes.

Turn off the heat and garnish with sesame oil and sesame seeds.
