    • 🥔 2 medium potatoes, cubed
    • 🧅 1 onion, chopped
    • 2-3 green chilies, sliced
    • 🧄 1/4 stalk green onion, chopped

    • 1 small can of Spam, mashed
  • Liquid

    • 💧 400ml water
  • Seasoning

    • 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp chili powder
    • 1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
    • 1 tsp doenjang (Korean soybean paste)
    • A pinch of black pepper

ÉTAPES

Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Cube the potatoes, chop the onion, slice the green chilies, and chop the green onion.

Prepare the seasoning mix by combining soy sauce, chili powder, gochujang, mirin, sugar, minced garlic, doenjang, and black pepper.

Mash the Spam into smaller pieces for easier cooking.

In a pot, add the vegetables (except green chilies and green onion), mashed Spam, and the seasoning mix. Pour in the water and bring to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, cover the pot and reduce to medium heat. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add the green chilies and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes until the stew thickens.

Add the chopped green onion and cook until the stew starts bubbling again. Serve hot.

Mash the stew with rice and enjoy the rich flavors.
