INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 400g rice cakes
- 🧅 1 stalk green onion
Sauce Ingredients
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp corn syrup or honey
- 🧂 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp rice wine
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
ÉTAPES
Prepare rice cakes according to preference (e.g., cheese-filled, wheat, or rice-based). Optionally soak or blanch them to soften.
Add 3 tbsp cooking oil to a pan and slice the white part of the green onion. Heat the pan on medium heat to create green onion oil.
Once the green onion turns golden brown, remove it from the pan.
Combine all sauce ingredients in the pan and simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Drain the softened rice cakes and add them to the sauce. Stir-fry on medium heat until the sauce clings to the rice cakes.
Cook for about 1 minute on medium heat until the sauce becomes sticky and adheres to the rice cakes. Sprinkle sesame seeds before serving.
