Braising Sauce
- 💧 3.5 cups water
- 1/2 cup cooking sake
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 slices thinly sliced ginger
ÉTAPES
Thaw the cleaned frozen flounder and rinse under running water. Make X-shaped cuts on the thickest part of the flesh.
Bring the braising sauce (water, cooking sake, sugar, soy sauce, and ginger) to a boil.
Add the flounder and thickly sliced vegetables to the boiling sauce. Reduce to medium heat and braise for 10 minutes, ladling the sauce over the fish continuously.
Avoid overcooking the fish for more than 10 minutes to preserve its tender texture.
Plate the braised flounder and vegetables, then drizzle the sauce evenly over them.
