Essential Ingredients
- 🐟 1 whole salted mackerel
- 🧅 20 cm green onion
- sufficient rice water
Seasoning Ingredients
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp gochujang
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp cooking wine
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- a pinch of black pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
ÉTAPES
Soak the mackerel in rice water for about 20 minutes to remove the fishy smell and excess salt.
Slice the green onion into small pieces.
Mix all the seasoning ingredients in a bowl to create the sauce.
Heat oil in a pan and sauté the sliced green onion to release its aroma. Mix the sautéed green onion into the prepared sauce.
In the same pan, sear the mackerel on high heat until the surface turns golden brown.
Place the seared mackerel on an oven tray and spread the sauce evenly over it.
Bake the mackerel in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 10 minutes.
