Vegetables
- 🥬 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 🧅 1/2 cup chopped green onion
Seafood
- 🦐 1 handful of dried shrimp
Seasonings
- 2-3 tbsp doenjang (soybean paste)
- 2 tbsp dried shrimp powder
- 🧄 1/2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 🍬 1/5 tsp sugar
- 🧂 To taste salt
Liquid
- 1000cc rice water
ÉTAPES
Wash and prepare the spinach thoroughly.
In a pot, lightly toast the dried shrimp until aromatic.
Add the rice water to the pot and bring to a boil.
Dissolve the doenjang (soybean paste) into the boiling water.
Add minced garlic and stir well.
Add 2 tbsp of dried shrimp powder for extra umami.
Add the spinach and let it cook until softened.
Add chopped green onion and green chili.
Optional: Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
Add 1/5 tsp sugar for a touch of sweetness.
Simmer the soup until all ingredients are well combined.
