Béchamel Sauce
- 🧈 30g salted butter
- 30g flour
- 🥛 300ml milk
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
Croque Monsieur
- 🍞 4 slices of bread
- Adequate amount of béchamel sauce
- 🧀 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 🧀 50g pizza cheese
- Sprinkle of parsley
- 4 slices of sandwich ham or bacon
ÉTAPES
Melt 30g of salted butter in a preheated pan over low heat.
Add 30g of flour to the melted butter and stir to avoid lumps.
Gradually add 300ml of warm milk in three parts, stirring continuously.
Season the sauce with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
Spread béchamel sauce generously on one side of each bread slice.
Layer cheddar cheese, ham or bacon, and another slice of cheddar cheese on two bread slices.
Top with another bread slice spread with béchamel sauce.
Spread béchamel sauce on top and sprinkle 25g of pizza cheese.
Cook the sandwich in a preheated pan over low heat for 8 minutes with the lid on.
Use a torch to lightly brown the cheese for a golden finish.
