Main Ingredients
- 🍘 25–30 pieces of rice cakes
- 5 sheets of fish cakes
- 🌱 1 handful of bean sprouts
- 🧅 1/2 onion
- 🧅 1 stalk of green onion
- 💧 4 cups of water
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp of gochujang
- 1 tbsp of red pepper powder
- 2 tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 tbsp of oyster sauce
- 🍬 2.5 tbsp of sugar
- 🍅 2 tbsp of ketchup
- 🧄 1/2 tbsp of minced garlic
- 1 swirl of corn syrup
ÉTAPES
Mix gochujang, red pepper powder, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, ketchup, and minced garlic to create the tteokbokki sauce.
Wash a handful of bean sprouts thoroughly and drain.
Add rice cakes to a pot.
Add fish cakes to the pot.
Add chopped onion and green onion to the pot.
Pour the prepared sauce and 4 cups of water into the pot. Bring to a boil.
Once the rice cakes become soft and plump, add the bean sprouts.
Simmer until the sauce thickens and the dish becomes slightly sticky. Add a swirl of corn syrup and stir.
