- 🍗 600g chicken breast
- 🧂 3 pinches of salt
- Adequate amount of black pepper
- 🥬 5 lettuce leaves
- 🧅 1 onion
Batter
- 12 tbsp potato starch
- 5 tbsp corn starch
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 💧 6 tbsp water
Sauce
- 6 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 🍋 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 🍬 2 tbsp sugar
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 🧅 2 tbsp minced green onion
ÉTAPES
Wash the chicken breast thoroughly, pat dry, and cut into bite-sized strips. Season with salt and black pepper.
Mix potato starch and corn starch in a 7:3 ratio, add water, and stir lightly. Beat the egg and mix it into the batter.
Add vegetable oil to the batter to adjust its consistency. Aim for a mayonnaise-like thickness.
Dip the seasoned chicken into the batter and coat evenly. Heat oil to 180°C and fry the chicken pieces until they puff up and turn white.
Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, vinegar, lemon juice, sugar, minced garlic, and minced green onion.
Tear lettuce leaves and slice the onion thinly. Arrange them on a plate.
Place the fried chicken on top of the vegetables and drizzle with the sauce or serve the sauce on the side.
