    • 1-2 green chilies

    • 💧 1/2 cup water
    • 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 🧄 0.5 tbsp minced garlic
    • 0.5 tbsp sesame oil
    • 0.5 tbsp syrup or sugar
    • a pinch of black pepper

Prepare the ingredients. Slice the onion and green chilies into appropriate sizes. Optionally, pour hot water over the fish cakes to prepare them.

Mix all the sauce ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.

Add the sauce mixture to a pot and bring it to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, add the sliced onion and green chilies.

Add the fish cakes to the pot.

Continue boiling uncovered on high heat until the sauce reduces to half its original volume.
