Simmer dried pollack strips, ground shiitake mushroom, and garlic in a pot to create broth.

Slice konjac into thin pieces and blanch in boiling water.

Remove pollack from broth, blend with tofu-soybean paste mixture, and return to the broth. Add seaweed, konjac, perilla powder, and simmer for 20 minutes. Season with fish sauce.
