    • 🧀 180g sliced cheese

    • 🥛 125ml milk
    • 🥚 1 egg for glazing

Dice the cold butter into small cubes. Sift the flour and baking powder, then mix with salt and sugar. Prepare the milk and egg mixture, and slice the cheese. Also prepare egg wash for glazing.

Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Add the cold butter and rub it into the dry ingredients until crumbly.

Coarsely chop the sliced cheese. Dust the cheese with a bit of flour to prevent sticking.

Add the chopped cheese to the dough and mix well.

Combine the milk and egg mixture with the dough and knead until it forms a cohesive ball.

Divide the dough into two portions and roll out each portion on a floured surface.

Perform a tri-fold on the dough twice to create layers.

Roll the dough to about 8mm thickness and cut into desired shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.

Brush the scone surfaces with egg wash and bake at 180°C for 18 minutes in a preheated oven.
