  • Main Ingredients

    • 🧈 1 block tofu
    • 2 tbsp cornstarch
    • 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Sauce Ingredients

    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 🍅 4 tbsp ketchup
    • 🍶 1 tbsp vinegar
    • 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • Aromatics

    • 🧄 1 clove garlic, sliced
    • 1 slice ginger

الخطوات

Cut tofu into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Coat the tofu pieces with cornstarch by shaking them in a bag with 2 tbsp of cornstarch.

Heat oil to 160°C (320°F) and deep-fry the tofu until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Mix all the sauce ingredients with 2-3 tbsp of water in a bowl.

Heat chili oil in a pan, sauté garlic and ginger on low heat until aromatic.

Turn the heat to high, add the sauce mixture, and bring it to a boil.

Add the fried tofu to the pan and stir-fry on high heat until the sauce coats the tofu evenly.

Optional: Add sliced almonds for extra crunch and flavor.
